To the north is the Peter Davy House (No 13), to the east the Albert Davy House (No 14), and to the south is the Peter R Davy House
(No 15) ca. 1850. This grouping of Homes attests
to the prominence of the Davy Family in the early history of Bath. The large Davy House
(No 13) is an ornate structure; built in 1813 it represents the "Ontario
Cottage" in its most elaborate form. Here the usual rectangular block has been
extended with short wings on either side, but the overall symmetry is retained. The
central door is framed by a pair of pilasters and entablature. The two side lights and
elliptical fan light, whose intricate glazing bars still remain. Each window is also
framed by pilasters and entablature, whose bases and capitals deserve special attention.
