The sun was shining and the satellite radio was set to Hair Nation as the team made their way to a little town that was home to the building they were about to investigate. As they arrived to the downtown area, it was very clear that this was a town that was surrounded with history. We pulled into the parking lot and everyone was immediately taken back by how beautiful this location was. It was clear to us why the dead still wanted to be there. Who wouldn’t? We made our way up to the front and meet with our lovely host, Amanda. Our initial tour was about to begin. [visit link]

Kingston This Week Mention - Heritage Focus of Bath Fall Fair

Just when the leaves begin to change colour and cooler nights call for a shawl, the grounds at the Fairfield-Gutzeit House fill with delicate temptations of fall.

Sally McCulloch is the communications director at the Fairfield-Gutzeit Society.

"It's a heritage group and I have been involved in heritage things most of my life," she said. "I've been interested in restoring the old house and looking after it."

McCulloch is also a chairperson for the Bath Fall Fair and has been involved in organizing the popular event for the last nine years.

For $5 admission you can see the historic house and discovery centre, as well as artillery displays, British gun boats, hear music by the Loyalist Fife and Drums and kids can take part in the children's musters by the Royal Yorkers. The MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Company will be on site with locally hand-crafted beer."
